Aston Villa interested in Alberto Molerio

An update has emerged on Aston Villa and their plans to bolster the squad in the upcoming summer transfer window…

What’s the latest on Aston Villa’s interest in Alberto Moleiro?

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Villans are prepared to pay €25m (£22m) to sign Las Palmas attacking midfielder Alberto Moleiro at the end of the season.

The report claims that Premier League teams Liverpool and Villa are both willing to match the Spanish side’s price tag, which is €25m (£22m) as a fixed fee.

It is stated that LaLiga giants Barcelona were only prepared to offer that much as part of a package with €15m worth of add-ons that were not guaranteed, which could open the door for the English teams to swoop in.

However, Mundo Deportivo also claims that the gem would be open to remaining at Las Palmas for another season if they are promoted to LaLiga, with the club currently sitting three points clear of third in LaLiga 2.

How would Alberto Moleiro fit in at Aston Villa?

The Spanish wizard has played between 19 and 21 matches as a left winger, right winger, and an attacking midfielder respectively in his career and this means that the youngster could line up in any of the three roles behind Ollie Watkins.

Moleiro could strike an instant connection with the Villa centre-forward as the 19-year-old is a creative talent who likes to constantly provide his fellow attackers with opportunities to score.

In LaLiga 2 this season, the teenager – whose “silky touch” was once lauded by scout Jacek Kulig – has produced 1.7 key passes per game and created 11 ‘big chances’ in total, which shows that the maestro is consistently opening up opposition defences for his side.

Meanwhile, Douglas Luiz (1.3) is the only Villa player with more than one key pass per match in the Premier League this term – providing just four ‘big chances’ – and this suggests that Unai Emery does not currently have one outstanding creator who he can rely upon to carve teams open.

Moleiro, if he can make the step up to the Premier League, has the potential to come in and be the creative presence in midfield that they have been lacking this season.

Watkins could greatly benefit from this as his form under Emery has shown that he has the scope to be an excellent goalscorer for the club if provided with the right services.

Since the World Cup, the Englishman has plundered six goals and one assist in ten Premier League appearances. Now, imagine the figures the marksman could rack up over the course of a season with a playmaker regularly creating big chances for him to score from at the top end of the pitch.

Emery could form an exciting pairing in the final third by signing Moleiro with that precisely the reason Johan Lange and the Spanish head coach must work to get this deal over the line in the coming months.

Manchester United: Victor Osimhen transfer update

Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg has provided an update on Manchester United transfer target Victor Osimhen.

The Lowdown: United interest

The Red Devils have made a new striker and midfielder their transfer priority this summer, with Osimhen thought to be a player of interest.

The Napoli striker is reportedly at the top of United’s striker shortlist, ahead of Tottenham’s Harry Kane, AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham and soon-to-be RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

The Nigerian international has scored 21 goals and provided five assists in 27 appearances this season and is under contract with the Serie A side until 2025.

The Latest: Transfer news

Plettenberg took to Twitter in the last 48 hours to share an update he’s ‘been told’ about Osimhen’s future. The Sky Sports reporter said that United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are ‘all in’, with ‘different talks’ taking place.

He added that Bayern Munich aren’t in the race for the forward, with his €100m (£88m) valuation ‘not feasible’ for them.

The Verdict: Fingers crossed

Osimhen has been called a ‘monster’ by members of the press and has also come in for praise from legendary striker David Trezeguet, who described the forward as ‘unique’:

“He’s a unique player, a prototype of the new player, fast, and he moves a lot. I think he has become a striker with an important profile. He knows how to move and manage himself in the match.”

Therefore, a big-money move to Old Trafford could be a brilliant piece of business from Red Devils chiefs, where Osimhen could become one of the club’s most expensive signings of all time with Napoli seemingly wanting €100m (£88m) to part ways with the player.

The 24-year-old appears to be entering the prime years of his career with a career-high €70m Transfermarkt valuation, so may continue his free-scoring form at his next club. United will be hoping that is with them, however, they look set to face plenty of competition for his services, including from Premier League rivals, so negotiations could prove tricky over the coming months.

Erik ten Hag’s need for a marquee striker could be something that appeals to Osimhen, though, knowing he would be the main centre-forward at the club with Anthony Martial’s future in doubt and Wout Weghorst’s stay only temporary until the end of the season.

As a result, he could form a formidable front four alongside left-winger Marcus Rashford, attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes and one of Jadon Sancho, Antony or Alejandro Garncaho on the right-hand side.

Tottenham could look to hire Fonseca as Conte replacement

Tottenham Hotspur's director of football Fabio Paratici is a big fan of the Lille manager Paulo Fonseca amid the speculation surrounding Antonio Conte.

Will Spurs need a new manager?

The future of Conte is seemingly coming to an end at some point in the coming months and it seems as if it could well be sooner rather than later.

And the north London side are already believed to have a shortlist of potential successors at hand as a result of Paratici's work in recent weeks.

Some of the names included in that list are reported to be the likes of Luis Enrique and Mauricio Pochettino, but it seems as if another manager could well be a surprise candidate.

Indeed, speaking on the House of Champions YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has admitted Paratici is a big fan of Fonseca having previously attempted to bring him to N17:

"It's true, he was really more than close. He was already one step away from signing the contract as [the] new Tottenham manager, then the deal collapsed.

"He's really appreciated by Fabio Paratici, so he always had this kind of good feeling with the Italian director – we have to see if Paratici will be there at the end of the season, too.

"So this is why at the end, it's going to be a domino [effect] at Tottenham, but at the moment, what I can say is that he's not a name for now, but could be one of the options for the end of the season."

Should Spurs finally bring in Fonseca?

Spurs reportedly tried to bring in Fonseca back in 2021 in the early stages of Paratici's time in north London before appointing Nuno Espirito Santo.

It was believed the Portuguese manager was all set to put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Spurs but there were some major issues which prevented this from happening.

As a result of tax issues from his time in Italy, the deal for Fonseca collapsed.

Paulo Fonseca stands on the sidelines for Lille in their Ligue 1 visit to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, he has since made the move to France and taken on the job at Lille last summer and currently has them battling for a European slot.

Whether or not Fonseca would be the best option for Spurs remains another question on the back of what has been perhaps a slightly underwhelming campaign, with the 2021 champions 27 points off the top.

But it has to be said Fonseca has led Lille to a run of only two league defeats since October, with one of those coming away to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, it is also worth noting that the 50-year-old has predominantly played with a back four which could well see Spurs' current setup change significantly (via Transfermarkt). Meanwhile, it is worth noting he is reportedly wanted at Crystal Palace.

And given he is currently in a job with the French side, perhaps a move for Fonseca would have to wait until the summer with Lille chasing a spot in Europe.

Leeds’ £1m "machine" has seen his value rise 930%

Leeds United have a habit of picking up or forging their own top youth talent, hence why their squad is currently laden with such rich quality many of whom are 23 or younger.

They certainly have a knack for identifying the next big stars, and in Marcelo Bielsa and Jesse Marsch, they had two managers willing to give most a chance, whether through desperation or a genuine belief that it was deserved.

However, what was particularly surprising was to see young Joe Gelhardt shipped out on loan in January as per the American's orders, despite Patrick Bamford being the club's only senior striker alongside Rodrigo, both of whom have suffered with injuries.

Joining Sunderland, it was expected the 20-year-old would continue his development at the Wearside club who were impressing under Tony Mowbray. Whether this was the right move or not remains up for debate, but what is certain is that the young forward is destined for the very top; and to think, Victor Orta snatched him from Wigan Athletic for just £1m.

How much is Joe Gelhardt worth now?

Capitalising on the Latics' well-known financial struggles, this marked one of the club's most impressive coups in recent memory as the man branded a "goal machine" by journalist Phil Hay was welcomed to Elland Road.

joe-gelhardt-leeds-united-sunderland-loan-value-rise

Having since gone on to feature 41 times for the club already, this outlines the importance he holds in being the future of the club's goalscoring.

His importance throughout last season was particularly imperative, as his late goal against Norwich City secured three vital points, whilst his late piece of magic to assist against Brighton and Hove Albion earned another valuable point. They escaped the drop by just three points.

There is a reason why writer James Marschment branded him a "special, special talent with ice in his veins."

With three goal contributions already at the Stadium of Light, he seems poised to translate his fine form to the Championship as he continues to outline himself as a top talent.

As such, his value has unsurprisingly skyrocketed alongside his rise to prominence. Football Transfers rate the apex of his expected Transfer Value at a lofty €11.8m (£10.3m), outlining a huge 930% increase from that tiny aforementioned fee used to acquire him, with Leeds having struck gold by acquiring his services.

Upon the youngster's return from his loan spell, which is sure to be a success, perhaps Javi Gracia might see the star power that Marsch snubbed and hand him a starting spot in his team.

West Ham fear Benrahma could leave

West Ham United apparently fear a mass exodus from the club if they’re relegated with Said Benrahma coming as one of the players who could depart.

The Lowdown: Hammers face drop…

David Moyes’ men are in serious danger of dropping to the Championship after what has been a season to forget domestically for the east Londoners.

West Ham currently sit 18th in the Premier League table, having lost 14 games and winning just six, all the while being among the division’s lowest goal scorers.

One shining light for Moyes’ side is that they actually boast the best defensive record of any side in the bottom ten bar Chelsea, potentially giving them something to build upon in the latter stages of this season.

Amid this relegation worry, though, it is now believed that more players could leave West Ham alongside the heavily mooted potential departure of star midfielder Declan Rice.

The Latest: West Ham hold Benrahma fear…

As per club insider Claret & Hugh, as well as the England international, West Ham are worried that midfielder Benrahma could be one of the players pushing to leave if they go down.

The Algeria international would apparently be unhappy to drop back down after securing a move to West Ham from Brentford in 2020/2021.

Winger Jarrod Bowen is another squad member who could want to quit the London Stadium in West Ham’s worst case scenario.

The Hammers hierarchy have also apparently written wage cut clauses into all contracts should they get relegated.

The Verdict: Worrying times…

Benrahma can be a player of real talent and poise in the forward areas when playing at his very best.

As per WhoScored, the 27-year-old sits joint-top of West Ham’s charts for most attempts at goal per 90 in the top flight and also completes more take-ons per 90 than any Irons player.

Benrahma one of West Ham’s most prolific in terms of key passes per 90 with only Bowen and left-back Aaron Cresswell making more per match (WhoScored).

Called ‘magic’ by former West Ham winger Trevor Sinclair, losing the attacker could be a blow for Moyes if they go down.

Best tips for football wagering in online casinos

With 3.5 billion fans, football is the most popular sport worldwide. As the internet expands the gambling industry, fans need the best tips to predict results.

How popular is sports betting?

The boom of the global gambling industry caused significant growth, from a revenue of $287.43 billion in 2021 to $456.61 billion in 2022. The sports betting market has maintained a constantly growing trend, and this year, sports fans managed to bring the global sports betting market to a total gross of 231 billion U.S. dollars.

Reasons why football betting is so important

When you think of sports betting, the first image you can envision in your mind is the final result of a football match. As football is one of the most beloved competitive sports worldwide, there's no surprise the most considerable demand in the sports betting industry revolves around this sport.

Football betting brings fast rewards

Unlike other forms of gambling, when fans bet on the outcomes of a football match, they do not have to wait a lot of time before they get their results. Bettors will get the final results after some hours or days, depending on when they place their bets.

Betting on football is convenient

Unlike other sports where the rules are too complicated to understand, or the frequency of the competitions is lower, football fans always choose football betting. Also, you can easily place your bets by wagering on online betting platforms as more operators start transitioning their business to the online community.

Football betting offers unlimited options

Due to football betting being so popular not only in Europe but also in the U.S.A and Asia, several gaming industry operators launched gambling-related platforms where players can place bets and wager from anywhere, directly on their mobile devices.

Tips for mastering football betting

The football community of fans is formed among the most dedicated supporters of their teams. Suppose you place yourself under the category of people who want to take their hobby to the next level and consider wagering. In that case, you must evaluate some factors before placing your bet on your favorite team.

Find a reliable platform

Before starting to spend your money on football bets, you should first consider the importance of a reliable and trustworthy wagering website or gambling platform. You should verify reviews of the website you intend to use and choose the best option for you.

Make your decision by comparing other players' opinions toward renowned operators. Also, make sure the betting platform you use is licensed.

Set a realistic budget

One mistake many wagers make when they start gambling or betting is not setting a realistic budget. Therefore, many sports fans lose control and quickly develop a gambling problem without even realizing how easy it is to avoid that. All you must do is establish a budget you're going to stay within.

Take advantage of bonuses and other offers

As the competition in the gambling and betting industry is quite fierce, more operators have started offering their clients various benefits to maintain their users engaged and attract new ones. However, these promotions are not just a marketing strategy. Many bettors benefit from using their bonuses and other offers when placing bets on football or even gambling in a casino.

For example, the biggest web-based casinos have special actions for their newcomers and consistent players. According to gambling research from CasinoBonusCA, almost 60% of online casinos offer free bonuses to new users to keep them engaged. Other generous offers are welcome bonuses or welcome packages. These bonuses offer gamblers clear benefits, and for football bettors, this type of casino bonus is available in the form of free bets.

Do an extensive research

Another major factor in your betting process is researching the teams, players, rules of the game, and competitors in the sports betting industry. Before subjectively supporting a team, take your time to discover all the information you need. You need to know their progress, the number of matches won, and other details.

Also, your research continues beyond the football teams or players. If you need clarification on the game's rules and intend to watch the match, you must also study those. You can even watch review videos of the teams' performance.

Keep your score

Only some punters manage to keep their score, as well. This means you should keep track of your wins and losses if you place football bets regularly. Moreover, another advantage of this system is you can determine whether you're repeating lost bets and prevent you from repeating them.

If you use a specific betting platform or app, they might manage to keep your betting history, and you can verify to see which bets are more successful for you.

Football betting tricks can make you a professional punter

Football remains the best alternative for sports bettors internationally. The main reason for this is that, unlike other sports, football offers the best opportunities for an extensive selection of tournaments and national and international competitions. Any gambler considering joining sports betting would opt for this sport as it has it all.

Rangers Eyeing Swoop for Talented "Conductor" This Summer

Glasgow Rangers are eyeing a move for Barcelona youngster Pablo Torre as Michael Beale aims to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.

What’s the latest on Pablo Torre to Rangers?

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Rangers are looking at signing Barcelona sensation Torre on a loan deal for the 2023/2024 campaign.

The report states that the Ibrox side were interested in luring him to Scotland last summer and could try their luck again at the end of the season.

With Sporting director Ross Wilson having recently left the club to join Nottingham Forest, Beale could be given more of a free rein when it comes to transfers and Torre may be the one to benefit.

Could Rangers sign Pablo Torre from Barcelona?

There is certainly a chance of the club managing to secure the young prodigy on a season long loan deal similar to the one that brought Bayern Munich talent Malik Tillman to the club last year.

With Champions League football a possibility, this could further entice Torre, who would surely be given a starting berth under Beale should he join. If the Light Blues did secure his signature, they could be repeating their Mikel Arteta masterclass from 2002, when the Spaniard signed from the Catalan club for a fee of just £5.8m and he enjoyed two seasons at Ibrox.

The current Arsenal boss scored the title-clinching goal against Dunfermline back in 2003 that is still fondly remembered by the Ibrox supporters and despite spending just two years in Glasgow, he was one of the clubs standout performers during that spell.

There is no doubt Torre would shine in Scotland having already experienced Champions League football with Barcelona this term.

Across three appearances in Europe’s premier club competition, the 20-year-old has scored once, averaged 29.7 touches per game, completed 90% of his passes and made 0.7 tackles each match, not bad for someone who has averaged just 32 minutes in these three matches.

Rangers Review journalist Joshua Barrie dubbed the 5 foot 8 Torre a “conductor” when he played for Racing Santander back in 2021 and his signing could be especially pivotal if Rangers can't agree to a deal to sign Tillman on a permanent basis.

Pablo Torre for Barcelona

The youngster could be given a free role behind the striker under Beale which would allow him to flourish and during his final season for Racing, he scored ten goals and registered 11 assists across all competitions, suggesting he could add goals to the Rangers attack.

With Tillman’s success, a year-long loan move would be the ideal scenario for both clubs and the Gers could potentially hit new heights next season.

Aston Villa’s £12.5m Gem Has Been Sensational

As Saturday's commanding win proved, Aston Villa are a side re-born under new boss Unai Emery, with the Midlands outfit having now won five successive Premier League games following that 3-0 victory over Newcastle United.

The manner in which the Villans dispatched the top-four hopefuls was indicative of the flowing confidence that the club are now enjoying under the new regime, with man of the moment Ollie Watkins perhaps the most obvious beneficiary of the change in the dugout.

The former Brentford man now boasts 11 goals in just his last 12 league games having been in scintillating form since the World Cup break, with the weekend win proving particularly fruitful as the Englishman bagged a brace in front of watching Three Lions boss, Gareth Southgate.

The 27-year-old is simply "on fire" at present – according to former Villa striker Dean Saunders – and is leading the charge towards potential European qualification, with Emery's men now just three points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Aside from Watkins, however, there have been other members of the squad who have also truly come to the fore since the turn of the year, with recent addition Alex Moreno having been in "sensational" form of late, according to Birmingham World's, Charlie Haffenden.

It would appear that the Villa Park outfit are simply reaping the rewards of their £12.5m investment in the former Real Betis ace, with it looking as if the 29-year-old is now emulating another previously impactful January arrival – Darren Bent.

How good has Moreno been for Villa?

In the case of Bent, the striker-turned-pundit was snapped up from Sunderland on a £24m deal in the winter of 2011, with the Englishman having been tasked with trying to steer the club away from danger in the second half of the season.

Having been fourth bottom at the time of the marksman's then club-record capture, Villa would ultimately end the campaign in ninth after enjoying a real turnaround in fortunes in the latter months of the campaign, with Bent proving integral to that revival.

The one-time Tottenham Hotspur man would score nine goals in just 16 league games in the tail-end of that 2010/11 season, earning notable praise from Gerard Houllier's then-assistant Gary McAllister, who labelled him a "great signing".

While Moreno is operating in an altogether different role to that of Bent, the left-back is certainly proving just as influential as that of the former Villa ace having already racked up three assists in 13 league outings, while averaging 1.5 key passes per game to his illustrate his creative brilliance.

Villa's Alex Moreno

The experienced Spaniard is "absolutely flying" in English football – according to broadcaster Jack Collins – having already proven himself to be "a tremendous signing", in the words of ESPN's Luis Miguel Echegaray.

That quality was notably evident against the Magpies last time out as the 5 foot 10 machine was a 'constant outlet' for his side down the left flank, as per Birmingham Live's Ashley Preece, after providing one assist and registering three key passes.

Much like Bent was able to help ensure that Houllier and co moved from fearing for their safety to comfortably finishing in mid-table, Moreno is now helping to lead the charge in the bid to take Villa from enduring an unremarkable campaign to now having hopes of playing in Europe next season.

The hope will be, however, that while Bent's impact was relatively shortlived as he spent much of his final years at the club out on loan, the in-form full-back can go on to blossom for the long-term under compatriot, Emery.
