كشف نادي فناربخشة التركي طبيعة إصابة مسعود أوزيل التي تعرض لها خلال مشاركته أمام أنطاليا سبور.

وأصيب أوزيل في الكاحل الأيسر بعد تدخل من فريدي لاعب أنطاليا سبور، ولم يتمكن الألماني من السير وخرج من الملعب على نقالة (طالع التفاصيل).

وأوضح موقع “sporx” التركي أن نادي فناربخشة أعلن: “أظهر التصوير بالرنين المغناطيسي لمسعود أوزيل تمزقات جزئية في الأربطة الجانبية الداخلية والخارجية للكاحل، وتورم شديد في عظام الكاحل الداخلية والخارجية”.

ولم تتضح المدة المتوقعة لغياب مسعود أوزيل بعد إصابته، وقال إرول بولوت، مدرب فناربخشة: “فريدي الذي أخطأ وتسبب في إصابة مسعود كان لديه بطاقة صفراء، كان يجب أن يحصل على بطاقة حمراء من البطاقة الصفراء الثانية، لكن الحكم تجاهل ذلك!”.

Deadline day part two witnessed yet another frantic period for Leeds.

After the rigmarole that brought about Illan Meslier and Eddie Nketiah’s loan arrivals before the deadline for the Championship and Premier League, another day of transfer activity played out on Monday.

This time it was the closure for the rest of the Football League and European clubs.

There were a number of exits at Leeds as Vurnon Anita left via mutual consent whilst Laurens De Bock joined Sunderland and Conor Shaughnessy headed for Mansfield temporarily.

But perhaps the most understated departure was teenager Callum Nicell.

The midfielder was someone with plenty of promise but had fallen behind in the pecking order at Leeds.

After all, the Whites have the likes of Jamie Shackleton, Alfie McCalmont and Mateusz Bogusz all vying for a place in the U23s, let alone senior minutes.

For someone like Nicell to leave it may not come as too big a surprise but it should have alarm bells ringing in the ears of Marcelo Bielsa and it should serve as a warning.

In 2016/17, he was named the Academy Player of the Year at Leeds. Ultimately he never went onto earn a first-team appearance and that is where concerns should lie.

Because of a lack of opportunities one of their best young talents has walked out of the door and that happens all too often around the football world.

But it could start to happen more regularly at Leeds if they’re not careful, as it has already with players like Clarke Oduor and Tom Pearce.

Garry Monk appeared to be a fan of Nicell, including him in the squad against Fulham in 2017 whilst he also featured on the bench against Preston under Paul Heckingbottom.

But under Bielsa he never got a chance. For someone who once won a major accolade at the club this seems strange.

The Argentine so far this season has preferred to have a number of his senior players featuring for the U23s. Individuals like Helder Costa, Gaetano Berardi and Shackleton have all appeared.

But they are above that level and it seems foolish to include them in the squad at the expense of players who can use it to develop.

Already this term we’ve seen Bielsa hint at using Mateusz Bogusz but then only play him once so there is a lesson to be learned here with the youth setup.

In practise, someone who was once Academy Player of the Year shouldn’t be allowed to seep through the net but that’s exactly what’s happened.

As a result, Leeds must ensure there is a clearer path to the first team and that those at the top of the academy get their chance.

Writing in The Sun, Alan Shearer has suggested Manchester United have taken a “huge gamble” by not replacing Romelu Lukaku this summer.

What did he say?

The Belgium international completed his protracted move to Inter last month after weeks of speculation he could be on his way out of Old Trafford.

Despite losing Lukaku and then Alexis Sanchez, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side passed up on the opportunity to sign a replacement, and have just three recognised options up front. Now, Shearer has said the Red Devils have taken a major risk, and revealed it will place a huge burden on the remaining forwards.

He said: “Gareth Southgate’s assessment that Marcus Rashford is not a number nine is spot on. Even this season, when Manchester United’s main striker Romelu Lukaku left, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plays Anthony Martial down the middle.

“For England, it is not a problem because he will never play there (up front) ahead of Harry, and Marcus looked sharp against Bulgaria from the left. It is a bigger issue for United because they have taken a huge gamble by not replacing Lukaku.

“Going into the season with just Marcus, Martial and Mason Greenwood is very risky and that is a huge burden for those three to carry over a long campaign.”

Too much responsibility

United’s transfer stance on Lukaku and Sanchez this summer certainly feels admirable. The club will be without the services of a duo, who were proven Premier League goal-scorers, whatever their struggles last season. Heading into the campaign without a replacement speaks volumes of the kind of faith Solskjaer has in his young forwards.

But already, the perils of having such limited options are showing. An injury to Martial ruled him out of the Southampton draw, and so the Red Devils had to call upon a 17-year-old in Greenwood to try and find a winner. Such pressure at a young age can sometimes be overbearing, and the massive amount of responsibility United have thrust on to their players’ shoulders is a real cause for concern.

واستطرد: “الأهلي يحتاج لمهاجم قوي أمثال عماد متعب وحسام حسن وفلافيو وأحمد بلال، وهناك بواليا ومروان محسن متميزان ولكن عليهما التسجيل من الفرص المتاحة لأن إهدارهما للفرص يضيع البطولات”.

واختتم: “على الأهلي إعادة أحمد ياسر ريان لأنه لاعب طموح وشاب وصغير في السن وسيكون مستقبل الفريق والتعاقد مع ثنائي هجومي جديد”.

Peter Grant has stated that French U21 forward Odsonne Edouard should resist the temptation of a move to Monaco and stay at Celtic because he is already at the bigger club as reported by The Evening Times.

What did he say?

Edouard had a sensational international break scoring four goals in two games for the French U21 side, this has seen further rumours about his future at the Parkhead club. Edouard is not only Neil Lennon’s go to striker but is also seen by many as the number one forward in the country as demonstrated so graphically in The Daily Record’s poll.

Edouard has again been linked with Monaco, a club that had, according to some reports, agreed a deal to sign him only for the deal to fall through. Grant believes that such a move would be a step back and that it could only be the lifestyle on offer that could tempt him away from Paradise.

Grant claimed on the Ladbrokes Social Club: “If you’re wanting to go to Monaco, it’s for the lifestyle obviously. It’s not for playing, when you’re talking about football clubs. There’s no comparison.”

“That’s unfortunately the nature of the beast nowadays. I hope [Edouard] stays a lot longer, if you’re playing for Celtic Football Club there’s not a better place to play in terms of atmosphere and crowd when you’re doing well.”

Is Grant correct?

There is no doubting that there are huge differences in culture between Monaco and Glasgow but what about on the field?

Monaco have qualified for the group stages of the Champions League every season since 2014/15 including appearances in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively. During the same period Celtic have qualified for the group stages just twice. Celtic did, of course, win the European Cup in 1967 but are unlikely to do so again in the near future given Scottish and European football finances.

Parkhead’s capacity dwarfs that of the State Louis II by almost three times but is history and ground capacity enough to determine the size or appeal of a club? Monaco play in the PSG dominated Ligue 1 but it is still home to some of the world’s finest talents and finishing third last season was enough to guarantee group stage qualification into the Champions League. Celtic, and Scotland’s league winners, have to start in the first qualifying round – potentially six games just to make it to the group.

For Edouard there is also the issue that it is his homeland and he may see that he has a better chance of being picked for his national team if he is playing well in a higher rated league.

Had Grant made the claim about Callum McGregor being linked with a move to France he may have had a valid point, but for a French youth international with greater aspirations than the Scottish Premiership, he is unlikely to want to see his career out a Parkhead just because it is a club steeped in history.

وواصل: “ما حدث يثير لدي سؤال وهو سؤال مستحيل لأن الحكام لا يتحدثون، ولكنه سؤال يجب أن يجيب عليه الحكم مايكل أوليفر، وربما بول تيرني كذلك، لأنه كان المسؤول عن تقنية الفيديو”.

وأردف: “لقد شاهدت ما حدث على بعد 40 أو 50 مترًا، ثم شاهدته مجددًا عبر جهاز آيباد، أعتقد أن الحكام لديهم مهمة صعبة في بعض الأحيان”.

وتابع: “لم أشتكِ لأن الحكم كان أقرب مني، ولكن بعد ذلك شاهدت الواقعة على جهازي، إذا كان لدى شخص ما رأي مختلف عن ذلك، يجب أن يكون أحد أكبر مشجعي آرسنال ولديه تذكرة موسمية، لأنني سأتقبل ذلك منه لأنه يتحدث من قبيل الشغف”.

واستمر: “باستثناء ذلك، لن أقبل هذا الأمر (الإقرار بصحة عقوبة ركلة الجزاء)، لأنه أمر واضح جدًا”.

وأكد: “إنه قرر خاطيء من مايكل أوليفر، يتعب اللاعبون بعد خوض العديد من المباريات، والمدربون كذلك، وربما يتعب الحكام”.

Aston Villa have struggled to adapt to life in the top-flight so far this season and several of their players’ performances have contributed to that.

The west Midlands club are outside the relegation zone after five matches purely on goal difference alone with just one win to their name.

Defensively, they are one of the top sides in the Premier League having kept two clean sheets which ranks first, tied with six other clubs.

However, it is in attack where their problem lies.

On Monday evening, Villa struggled to secure three points against a ten-man West Ham with Wesley proving focal to their struggles, as Football FanCast mention here.

But the players around him just haven’t been up to scratch either.

Between their three wingers, there has only been one assist and one goal with Anwar El Ghazi registering the highest average rating at 6.62, per WhoScored.

On the Chalkboard

Villa boss Dean Smith poached Jota from arch-rivals Birmingham City, but he’s yet to show the form he displayed just three miles down the road.

Last season, the Spaniard was vital to the Blues’ season, scoring three goals on top of laying on 11 assists. The majority of which would have contributed to Che Adams’ goal-laden spell in front of goal as he netted 22 in the Championship.

Now at Villa, he has quite clearly regressed in such a short space of time – his average shots per game has gone from 1.6 to a measly 0.4 while a similarly drastic drop is seen with the number of key passes he registered going from 2.1 to just 0.8 this campaign – all per WhoScored.

With the current system clearly not quite working in the Premier League, perhaps it would be wise to test Jota centrally, a position Smith deployed him in on a few occasions when the pair were both at Brentford.

Width is quite clearly an issue, so the 28-year-old’s qualities may be better served in the middle where his awareness and nous would be allowed to thrive closer to the striker.

His assist for Wesley’s first and only goal of the season could provide further proof as to why it would work out as he came inside and then fed a delightful ball into the area.

West Brom’s academy is widely regarded as one of the best in the Midlands, and quite possibly the country too. Luke Dowling recently claimed it was one with an enviable reputation.

Rekeem Harper, Kyle Edwards and Nathan Ferguson are just three names to see the first-team limelight over the past two seasons, having established themselves as some of the best prospects the youth setup has to offer.

All three appear to be in manager Slaven Bilic’s plans in some form, the latter two have started games in the Championship this season while the Croatian is adamant we will see the 19-year-old midfielder soon enough.

It may be a telling sign of one’s ability when they are sent out on loan rather than being bred amongst the senior team, but that’s not the case at the Hawthorns when you have so many talents coming through the ranks.

Earlier in the summer, the club sent both Sam Field and Jonathan Leko out on loan to Charlton Athletic, which is a rather smart move considering they are in the second tier too.

Whilst playing for the Addicks, Leko has seen himself in a new role – striker.

He had formed a partnership with Lyle Taylor, one which kept out summer arrival Macauley Bonne until last weekend before also being given a chance next to Tomer Hemed.

The 20-year-old has now played six straight games in the centre-forward position and in that run, he’s scored and assisted a goal, which isn’t a bad start considering his natural position has mainly been out wide.

When agreeing to send out the duo to Charlton, Bilic made sure there was a recall clause available in the deal so he could call upon either player in January.

That could well happen if Leko continues to show his worth as a striker down in south-east London.

Charlie Austin is still yet to get off the mark for the club despite costing £4m in the summer from Southampton – in fact, his first contribution towards any league goal came last Sunday in their 4-2 win over Huddersfield as he assisted Matty Phillips for the equaliser.

He still has a lot to do to show he was worth pursuing on deadline day and if West Brom’s forward line still struggle for goals it may not be too big a surprise if Leko came back and played up front.

Bilic utilised Oliver Burke in a central role in pre-season so he’s no stranger to utilising wide players in different positions.

With that in mind, the youngster might well be someone that comes back into the fold in January to challenge Austin to an extra degree.

وواصل: “السفر سيكون في الثالثة من عصر غد الثلاثاء، على أن تستغرق الرحلة 5 ساعات لكينيا”.

ويتواجد منتخب مصر في المجموعة السابعة رفقة كل من توجو وكينيا وجزر القمر، حيث يتصدر المنتخب الترتيب برصيد 8 نقاط، ويليه جزر القمر في المركز الثاني بنفس الرصيد من النقاط، ثم منتخب كينيا في المركز الثالث بـ3 نقاط، وأخيرًا توجو في المركز الرابع والأخير برصيد نقطة واحدة.
