ميكيل أرتيتا -الذي أكد ما سبق في مؤتمره الصحفي أيضًا-، تمسك بالاعب المصري رغم وجود عروض من الدوري التركي لضمه أبرزها كان جالطة سراي، لكنه رفض التخلي عنه.

Newcastle United’s takeover is going to go through, according to former Palace chairman Simon Jordan.

The owner-turned-pundit was appearing on Tuesday’s edition of ‘White and Sawyer‘ on talkSPORT where he was asked about the situation and emerging reports surrounding pirate streaming service beoutQ.

Jordan suggests it would be a very big surprise to see the Premier League block the deal and that they are merely trying to gain some leverage over the illegal broadcast of their matches in Saudi Arabia.

It comes after the Guardian’s revelation into a World Trade Organisation report which had found the Saudi government to be involved with beoutQ, but that doesn’t necessarily mean those involved in the Magpies’ takeover are involved too.

In response to the situation, Jordan offered an encouraging verdict on the prospects of it being approved, he said:

“I just feel that the Premier League will use it as leverage to try and get some reigning in of that, but I will be very, very, very, very surprised – you [Jim White] talk to Amanda Staveley, you get the gist of it as well – I’d be very surprised if they block this and are able to block it because there are other people that own football clubs that one could question the veracity or the advocacy of their ownership and I think this is going to be a very difficult situation.

“The Premier League, if it blocks this move, is pretty much saying – to some extent – that club’s only to their approval, owners only to their approval, irrespective of the conditionality of that and then you move the bar and move the bar down, and you’ll have this argument raging in Newcastle more than anywhere else that this only retains the status quo for those that it suits.

“I’d be very surprised if it’s blocked, Jim. Very surprised.”

Jordan emphasises his thoughts that it would be a massive surprise to see the PL reject United’s takeover by a Saudi-backed consortium.

He also raises an interesting point that would call into question their decisions to approve other deals in the past, and whilst it remains to be seen who he’s talking about, it’s fair to suggest that Manchester City may come into the equation given they are owned by the UAE.

أعلن نادي ساو باولو البرازيلي اليوم الجمعة رحيل لاعب الفريق داني ألفيس، بشكل رسمي، بعدما رفض لاعب برشلونة السابق العودة إلى التدريبات بسبب المستحقات المالية.

وكان ألفيس قد انتقل إلى سان باولو في صيف 2019، حيث وقع عقدًا ساريًا حتى عام 2022، إلا أن النادي البرازيلي قرر الاستغناء عن خدماته اليوم.

وقال المدير الرياضي لنادي ساو باولو في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “جول” العالمية: “داني ألفيس رفض العودة إلى التدريبات بعد انتهاء واجبه مع البرازيل، في خطوة أجبرتنا على القيام بذلك (فسخ التعاقد)”.

وأضاف: “أبلغنا ممثلوه أن ألفيس لن يعود إلى ساو باولو ما لم يحصل على مستحقاته المالية المتأخرة، نحن نعترف بوجود ذلك الأمر، وقدمنا الأسبوع الماضي مقترحًا من أجل تصحيح الوضع”.

وواصل: “ولكن رفض ممثلو ألفيس ذلك الاقتراح، واستكملنا المفاوضات ولكن لم تنجح، ذلك اتخذنا قرارنا (الاستغناء عن داني)، وقلنا لمدرب الفريق إن داني ألفيس لن يكون تحت تصرفه بعد الآن للعب في الفريق”.

واختتم المدير الرياضي تصريحاته الصحفية، قائلًا: “كلنا نعمل في هذه المؤسسة، لا أحد أكبر من نادي ساو باولو”.

Noel Whelan has told Football Insider that whilst Steven Gerrard has an advantage in his attempts to secure the services of Rhian Brewster, he must be careful with the 20-year-old if he does make the move to Ibrox.

£4.86m-valued Brewster – as per Transfermarkt – has been linked with a switch to Scotland recently, having joined Swansea on loan in January from Liverpool. The Englishman has made just three appearances during his career for the Reds but he has impressed so far with the Swans, scoring four times in 11 matches.

Whelan has been keen to point out that Scottish football is a different beast and, when asked by Football Insider if Brewster would get the game time he needs with the ‘Gers, he said:

“I do, I do. I think you’ve got to be careful with a 20-year-old striker anyway, I think you’ve got to manage them.

“You’ve got to get them used to the Scottish Premiership – it’s completely different, it really is. It’s a little bit more hit and run, probably a bit less football played because you’re coming up against teams that don’t have the players that Rangers and Celtic do in terms of that ability on the ball.

“He’s going to have to get used to that but yeah, absolutely. The thing is Steven Gerrard knows this player from his time at Liverpool anyway so he’s got that added advantage. He knows how to manage young players, he’s been one himself and he’ll definitely make him feel more comfortable because he knows him.” 

The fate of Brewster’s prospective move to Glasgow would likely depend on the future of Alfredo Morelos – with 29 goals before the Scottish campaign was brought to an end, his first team place is hardly in danger, but he has been linked with a move away from Ibrox.

Whilst Scottish football may not have the same depth as the Championship in terms of top sides, the pressure at Ibrox is unlike anything Brewster could experience in the second tier – in a way, there is perhaps even more expectation than at Liverpool.

In terms of the race to sign him, Gerrard does have the advantage considering he used to manage him with the under-18s at the Anfield outfit – it remains to be seen where he plays his football next term, although Whelan’s words should be worth heeding.

Tucu Corrêa e Savarino, que deixaram o campo ainda no primeiro tempo contra o Corinthians, seguem fora por lesões musculares. Barboza, que já havia desfalcado a equipe na rodada passada pelo estiramento ligamentar no joelho, permanece indisponível. Léo Linck, titular naquela partida, também é baixa por conta de um abscesso amigdaliano.

Leeds United may have a very busy summer ahead of them.

The Whites look to be headed to the Premier League, sitting pretty at the top of the Championship with just four games to go, and with a huge financial windfall headed their way if they do go up, it may soon be time for Andrea Radrizzani to get his chequebook out.

United haven’t had the best fortune when it comes to signing new players over the past couple of seasons, and the blame has to at least partially lie at Victor Orta’s feet.

The Spaniard has headed up the recruitment team at Elland Road for the past few years now, and while he has knocked it out of the park with some arrivals such as Liverpool-linked Ben White and their leading assist-maker Jack Harrison, there has also been a fair share of flops.

Two players that immediately spring to mind when you think of recent Leeds flops are Izzy Brown and Jean-Kevin Augustin. Both men arrived on loan but barely got a look-in due to their substandard fitness levels.

Augustin came in and was almost immediately criticised for not being up to scratch physically, and unfortunately, a string of injuries would hamper him, meaning that even with a three-month break he wasn’t able to get up to speed, eventually being sent back to RB Leipzig before the season even concluded.

Brown was a similar story, joining with a serious knee injury that he never really recovered from, playing just 11 minutes for the Yorkshire club last season, before returning to his parent club.

Now, both of these men are quite obviously talented, Brown has seven assists in 25 appearances this term, while the Frenchman has scored goals in the Champions League.

Unfortunately, the timing of these two deals turned them into poor transfers, and that is a trap that Leeds can’t afford to fall into again.

To put it bluntly, Orta and his team need to perform more due diligence on potential signings upon the club’s ascension to the Premier League because signing more big-money crocks after promotion could see United swiftly sent back to the Championship.

تابع: “الأهلي لديه ميزة وهي احترام منافسه في المباريات النهائية، وأنا أعتبر أنها مباراة من شوط واحد، وأتمنى أن يحصد المارد الأحمر البطولة”.

وأردف: “لا يوجد اطمئان في مثل هذه المباريات، والمباراة صعبة للغاية ويجب أن يعرف لاعبو الأهلي هذا الأمر، وطلائع الجيش يرغب في حصد البطولة أيضًا”.

وأضاف: “المباراة صعبة على الفريقين، وخاصة وأن الأهلي تعادل مع طلائع الجيش في الدوري وكانت جزءًا من خسارة الأحمر للقب، ولا توجد نهائيات سهلة للغاية”.

وعن ظهور صفقات الأهلي الجديدة في مباراة اليوم، قال: “لا أحبذ أن نجلب صفقات جديدة ونشركها سريعا خاصة في الأهلي، من الممكن أن يحدث هذا مع فرق أخرى، ولكن ومشاركة الصفقات تعد مجازفة كبيرة”.

وأردف: “بالنسبة لطلائع الجيش أعتقد أن الأمور مختلفة عن الأهلي، ولو لديه صفقات جديدة سيبدأ بها وهذا ما أتوقعه، لأن الحافز أمام الأهلي سيكون كبيرًا”.

وتحدث عن نجله أحمد المحترف في صفوف ألتاي التركي: “الأمور تسير بشكل جيد، وشارك في ثلاث مواجهات أحرز خلالها هدفين، وشعر بإجهاد في العضلة الضامة وقرر الجهاز الفني إراحته، ومن المقرر أن يشارك غدًا مع الفريق في التدريبات”.
