A Polícia Civil prendeu 26 membros de torcidas organizadas no Estado de São Paulo na operação denominada de “Cartão Vermelho”. Ao todo, foram 37 mandados de prisão e 32 mandados de busca e apreensão nas sedes das torcidas Gaviões da Fiel, Pavilhão 9 (ligadas ao Corinthians) e Mancha Alviverde (do Palmeiras). E segundo o promotor do Ministério Público, Paulo Castilho, a ação “é algo diferente” do que vinha sendo realizado pelos órgãos públicos para conter a violência no futebol.

It is no secret that the Toffees’ midfield is the weakest area on the pitch with an Idrissa Gueye-like void being felt for the majority of the season, so an addition or two here is certainly along the right direction, but they shouldn’t plump for Rabiot purely because he may be available.

Tom Davies is averaging more interceptions (1.2) and clearances (0.8) per game than the Juve ace yet he’s regularly torn apart by the Everton faithful.

Even Andre Gomes is slightly better too, having managed more key passes (0.6) and assists, via WhoScored.

Rabiot’s attitude has been a major issue too. At PSG he was once suspended, leading to former sporting director Antero Henrique saying: “I find unacceptable the attitude and lack of professionalism of a player like Adrien Rabiot towards the club, his teammates and his supporters.”

It was that bad that his reputation in the French capital is that he’s a ‘spoiled child’ who’s “hated” by PSG supporters.

Brands is going to have to steer well clear of this signing, especially at a whopping reported £30m fee. It reeks of yet another disasterclass at the hands of the Dutchman.

Liverpool’s pursuit for a new winger makes complete sense if they are to challenge for another Premier League title next season and Watford’s Ismaila Sarr may hold all of the keys to success once more.

According to Alan Nixon at The Sun, Watford are offering the 22-year-old to several teams at a huge £40m fee in order to ease the burden of relegation this summer.

It’s claimed that Sarr has been offered to the title winner, though despite their admiration of him, the finances are above what they can currently afford.

Meanwhile, the ECHO believe that the futures of Lorius Karius, Marko Grujic, Harry Wilson and Xherdan Shaqiri are by no means certain, so if funds can be raised through sales here, then the Reds may be able to clinch the Hornets speedster.

And that would make a ton of sense as it would be silly to rebuff Roma or Sevilla once again if they come knocking on Shaqiri’s door.

£40m may seem like an absurd fee for a recently-relegated side that has no bargaining power, but it would still be a smart move on Liverpool’s part.

The Senegalese winger would need no time to settle in whatsoever, not just because he’s been playing in the Premier League but also as he’s known to fellow countryman Sadio Mane – so much so that he’s even been likened to him on several occasions.

Those at Anfield will know him rather well too after he handed Jurgen Klopp all sorts of nightmares back in February for the club’s first league defeat of the season.

The 22-year-old ran riot, scoring twice and providing the assist for the third and final strike in Merseyside – per SofaScore, he picked up a match-high rating of 9.1 and also managed six shots, one dribble and one key pass.

It would simply be a no-brainer to swap Shaqiri for Sarr if such an opportunity arises this summer. He’s shown so much more this season with his five goals and four assists – he’d be a wonderful upgrade for Klopp to consider.

With West Bromwich Albion managing to secure their place in the upcoming 2020/21 Premier League roster, Slaven Bilic will certainly be keen on strengthening his squad as much as possible. And according to the latest reports coming from the Evening Standard, they are currently eyeing Tottenham Hotspur’s young talent, Jack Clarke.

Bilic’s squad is just one of many who would be willing to take the 19-year-old on loan in an attempt to give his team an additional boost ahead of the new campaign in the top-flight. Of course, Clarke is still a Spurs player but has spent a lot of time on various loan deals, first at Leeds United and then at Queens Park Rangers.

However, both stints were quite rocky for the youngster as he could only record ten appearances between those two gigs. Still, the same outlet states the final say goes to Jose Mourinho who is reportedly ready to give Clarke a shot in the Spurs team in the coming season. The main idea for the Special One is to introduce even more competition in the forward line and the 19-year-old would do exactly that, seeing how he’s eager to prove his worth and finally settle at a club.

The London side had a mixed season in 2019/20 so will welcome any kind of reinforcements they can get. Clarke was actually signed by Spurs back when Mauricio Pochettino was still in charge but despite his obvious talent, he hasn’t been able to break out of his shell yet.

Still, 2020/21 could finally be the year we see him fully emerge. Only time will tell, though.

Verdict

If Mourinho truly plans on giving Clarke a proper shot in the squad, then it would be good for the youngster to try and stay in London and fight for his spot. However, at West Brom, he would undoubtedly have a bigger role to play and with their promotion to the Premier League, he would stay at the same high level as well.

So if Bilic is really contemplating a loan deal, maybe this is something Spurs should seriously consider with Clarke’s development being the priority in the whole story.

Joel Alencar completa 43 anos nesta segunda-feira, dia seguinte a uma data marcante em sua vida. Das tribunas da Vila Belmiro, o ex-goleiro do futebol amador de Roraima viu Thiago Maia, seu filho de apenas 18 anos, marcar um dos gols da vitória por 2 a 1 do Santos diante do Palmeiras, pela 33ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. Do campo, o camisa 29 do Santos apontou para as tribunas e fez um coração com as mãos em homenagem ao pai na véspera de seu aniversário. Para Joel, não poderia ter havido presente melhor.

– A gente fica muito emocionado, ainda mais que hoje (segunda-feira) é meu aniversário. Vim de longe e recebi de presente um gol muito bonito. Não tem nem como explicar esse sentimento. Foi a primeira vez que vim ver depois que ele se tornou profissional, só tinha visto jogos dele na base. Ali no gol quando ele apontou para mim eu quase não segurei, foi uma emoção muito forte – diz, ao LANCE!, Joel, ainda impressionado com a rapidez da ascensão do filho:
