Anderson Martins foi anunciado na manhã de quarta-feira, realizou exames médicos e, à tarde, se exercitou no CT da Barra Funda, fazendo trabalhos físicos ao lado de Diego Souza, recém-contratado e seu companheiro no Vasco campeão da Copa do Brasil de 2011. Nesta quinta-feira, o zagueiro começou a treinar normalmente com os outros colegas, na expectativa de iniciar uma rotina que gere títulos em 2018.

– Estou muito feliz de poder chegar ao São Paulo. O clube tem uma linda história e uma mentalidade vencedora. Sei da grandeza do São Paulo, quero fazer parte de um grupo vitorioso, por isso aceitei o convite. Quero corresponder às expectativas e trabalharei firme em busca dos nossos objetivos – declarou.

The Celtic boss couldn’t guarantee that, though, revealing he will be available against Bodo/Glimt next Thursday should he miss a second consecutive game.

“He’s got an illness.

“He’ll be back at the weekend, hopefully, and if not he will definitely be back for the midweek fixture next week.”

The Verdict: Best to leave him out?

Anthony Ralston has started the last two games at right-back ahead of Juranovic, who was labelled as ‘excellent’ by Alan Hutton for his display against Rangers.

It could be best for the summer signing to miss a third game against Raith Rovers on Sunday, with Ralston potentially keeping his place.

That would give Juranovic, who has been a regular this season, the best possible chance of making Celtic’s Europa Conference League first-leg clash with the Norwegian side.

You’d expect that the Hoops should be able to cope without Juranovic against the Championship side, with Postecoglou possibly ringing the changes once again.

New Zealander Taylor romped to 64 from only 28 balls and Blackwell went on to make 79, the highest score by a Durham batsman and a platform for the Dynamos to go beyond 200 for the first time in short-form cricket.When they closed on 215 for 6 after taking 33 from the last two overs, it was also the highest score conceded by Warwickshire. The early loss of Jonathan Trott – the England batsman caught behind after driving Mitch Claydon’s first ball for four – could have signposted a hefty defeat.But Ian Bell had other ideas. Celebrating his recall to the England one-day squad, Bell went close to upsetting the odds with 85 from 47 balls in a brilliant performance that stretched Durham almost to breaking point. In a recent interview with GIVEMESPORT, the journalist stated his belief that he is certain Celtic will be looking to secure a deal for the Bristol City centre-forward in the summer transfer window, following reports claiming that Ange Postecoglou had sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old in action for the Robins.

But in reply Glamorgan reached 95 for 3 in 14.4 overs before the heavy rain brought an end to the contest.Under the D/L method the Welsh county had needed to be at 109 at that stage but were 14 runs short with Simon Cook (1 for 20) and James Tredwell (1 for 21) the pick of the Kent bowlers.Kent had scrambled to a decent score despite no one batsman taking Glamorgan’s attack apart. “I think obviously the Europa League has a lot to do with that, the money that’s coming in. Every round you go through, that money goes up.

“Added on to that, you think of the turnover from the home games, and the money they’ll make. They’re in a good space right now.

“If they can achieve their goals through the season, go as far in Europe as possibly go straight into the Champions League, it’s even more money there to be earned.

“The hierarchy at Rangers will know that and they’ll be desperate for it. I think they’re in a comfortable place. Hopefully, it can just get better.”

The Verdict: Good signs

Despite the 2-1 loss away at city rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership over the weekend, there are still good signs that the club will grow, at least financially.

The Light Blues were given a favourable UEFA Europa League draw against Braga and thus have a real chance of going all the way in the competition – the Portuguese outfit sit fourth in their domestic league, some distance off the Primeira Liga’s big three.

Of course, winning the Europa League gains an automatic spot in the Champions League, and a place in pot one of the draw, meaning that the Gers would also avoid the UCL winners from this campaign, as well as the winners of Europe’s top six leagues, thus giving them a better chance of going through into the knockout stages and earning even more money next season.

Those at the club will not want to think that far ahead though, but the signs are still promising for the Gers.
