Shehzad had been dropped on the boundary earlier too, and the mistakes continued to stack up for Kandurata, who bled at least 15 more runs through misfields alone, leaving aside the runs they might have saved had those chances been taken. When Mathews arrived at 110 for 2 from 12.3 overs, he showed off his improving knack for finishing innings by calmly taking his side over the line to make it two wins from two.In the Kandurata innings, Perera arrived at the crease with his side stagnating at 61 for 4 from 10.5 overs, and though he took seven balls to get going in earnest, when the explosion came, it was dramatic and effective. A towering six over midwicket, followed by a scorching boundary to the same area set the tone for his assault; the Nagenahira bowlers would continue to offer him length throughout the innings, and he rarely missed an opportunity to pepper his favourite midwicket boundary. Amid the heaves to cow corner there were clobbered fours down the ground and to third man as well, but few balls cramped him for space or posed a genuine threat to his technique. When he fell at 149 for 6, he had contributed 72 of the 88 runs scored during his stay. In the end, Kandurata’s total wasn’t enough to challenge their opponents.

وحسبما ذكرت صحيفة “ديلي ميل” الإنجليزية، نقلًا عن “TalkSport”، فإن جراهام بوتر حصل على فرصة تدريب نادِ إنجليزي عقب إقالته من تشيلسي.

وأوضحت أن ليستر سيتي تواصل مع جراهام بوتر للاستعانة بخدماته، بعد الإطاحة بـ بريندان رودجرز من منصبه.

وأفادت بأنه بالرغم من ذلك، فإن جراهام بوتر رفض ذلك العرض، حيث أبلغ مسؤولي ليستر سيتي أنه لن يصبح مدربهم الجديد.

وأشارت إلى أن جراهام بوتر يتطلع إلى الحصول على استراحة من كرة القدم، قبل أن يتخذ قرارًا بشأن خطوته التالية.

We’re now missing Australia’s greatest modern batsmen, but it’s an opportunity for guys to step up. It puts expectation on other guys to fill the void. That’s the only way.”

Fast bowler Umesh Yadav is unlikely to be fit in time for final match of the India-England Test series, which begins in Nagpur on December 13, as he is taking longer than originally expected to recover from a lower-back injury.With India all but certain to reach Nagpur in a must-win situation, this comes as a blow for an Indian attack that that has been plundered over the last two Tests. Yadav was the pick of India’s fast bowlers in the first Test in Ahmedabad, but was then ruled out with injury for “at least for 10 days”.The prognosis for the injury has been ambiguous; while one specialist had put forward the 10-day recuperation period, another had advised him rest for three months. Now, a day before the selectors are to choose the squad for the final Test, ESPNcricinfo has learnt that the fast bowler will surely be unavailable for the game. He is also unlikely to recover in time for the England Twenty20s and the Pakistan limited-overs series’ that follow.”This will be disappointing for him not just because it [the Nagpur game] is his home Test, but also because the team needs him badly,” a source said, adding it would be “a miracle” if he features in the Pakistan series.With Yadav unavailable, Sandeep Patil and his colleagues in the selection panel don’t have much to choose from as far as pace bowling is concerned. But it remains to be seen if the selectors take tough calls on a batting line-up that has faltered time and again in the series.

وأردف: “لكن كعادة النادي الأهلي سنغلق صفحة اليوم ونركز في مباراة الترجي، سنكون في قلب الميدان ومهم جدًا التحضير قبل المواجهة المرتقبة، سنواجه الترجي الذي في وجود جماهيره تكون مباراة أقوى وأشرس”.

وواصل: “الأولوية عندي هي الأهلي وإسعاد الجماهير، لا يوجد ولا فرد من الجماهير سيعيد بيع تذكرته، لأنه جاء ليشجع النادي ويُساند الفريق، أقول للاعبين أنهم دائمًا سيتعرضون للانتقاد، أهم شيء يكونون جاهزين”.

وطرح خالد بيومي المحلل الفني سؤالًا على عبد الحفيظ، قائلًا: (لسا ليكم حاجة عند الترجي؟)، ورد مدير الكرة في الأهلي: “لدينا شيء أكبر، البطولة التي نسعى للفوز بها”.

وبسؤاله عن تعاقد الأهلي مع مهاجم جديد، أوضح: “عندما تأتي فرصة لكي تقوي الفريق نفعل”، وأضاف مازحًا: “ممكن نضم هالاند إعارة”.
